Event Description

EVENT INFO:

Breakfast will start at 8:30; software-related activities will start at 9:00. Please try to be there by 9:00! There will be a sign at the front door with a number to call (the building is locked on Saturdays). If everyone arrives on time, we can get a full day of coding in with no interruptions!

TRANSPORTATION:

There are several private parking lots near Blue Box Group that you can use. You can also park on the street, but you'll have to feed the meter every two hours, so it's not recommended. Since it's Pioneer Square, you can also easily get there by bus or the new light rail. Google Maps or the King County metro planner (tripplanner.kingcounty.gov) can give you public transit directions if you need them. Finally, if you ride your bike, we'll have a safe place for you to store it.

Registration is now CLOSED! Sorry, our venue is full. There will surely be more code retreats in the future, though!

The first Code Retreat Seattle has been generously sponsored by Blue Box Group!

This Code Retreat will be done in Ruby. That doesn't mean you have to be a Ruby master, but you should at least be comfortable in a dynamic language (Python counts). If you're not a huge Ruby fan, please don't let it scare you away. Code Retreats are about the process of thinking about a problem, not about the language used to solve it!

There is limited space for this event, so please only RSVP if you're confident that you can make it. Thanks!

This will be my first "Code Retreat", but sounds fun.
